Business Deep Dives are Albert School’s educational signature.

They are 3-week practical cases in collaboration with a top company, allowing students to practice what they study with real data in real situations.

At the end of every BDD, the students present their work to the executives of the corporate partner, and a winning team is chosen.

Studying at Albert School

What is the maximum number of students per class?

The maximum is 40 students per class. The cohort is split in 1 to 5 classes depending on the year.

Is attendance mandatory?

Yes, in-person attendance is required for all classes.

Where is Albert School located?

The address of the campuses in France are available on their respective pages. The location of the international campuses will be announced soon.

Are computers provided?

Students must have a functional computer, especially for data courses. Partnerships for preferential rates on equipment are being developed.

Do I need to be proficient in English?

Proficiency in English is necessary as many courses are taught in English even in the French programs.

What type of positions are offered in apprenticeship?

The positions vary depending on the program and year of study. Examples of frequent roles are available on each program’s page.

Does Albert School provide support for CV writing and job search?

Yes, Albert School offers personalized support, including a mentorship program, and job dating events with corporate partners.

What is the alternation rythm?

After an initial 8-week intensive course period, the alternation rhythm is 4 days in the company and 1 day at school.

What types of contracts are accepted for alternation: professionalization or apprenticeship?

Both professionalization and apprenticeship contracts are accepted.

When can I intern during my bachelor?

During the first two years, internships are encouraged during summer. A six-month internship is mandatory in the third year.

Does Albert School offer coaching for skills like team management or negotiation?

Yes, Albert School offers constant coaching through various activities, including two weeks of intensive training with BCG consultants, practical business courses, and Business Deep Dives.

I dream of creating my startup. How does the school support student entrepreneurs?

Albert School offers a privileged environment for student entrepreneurs.

Half a day per week is dedicated to the development of free individual or group projects, such as the creation of a startup. Many members of the administrative and academics team have already worked or have founded startups, others have worked in investment funds.

The opportunity to receive advice about your projects, and access to our privileged network, can lead to the creation of the unicorns of the future.

Are team projects involved?

Yes, both personal and group projects are crucial components at Albert School. Group work is emphasized during Business Deep Dive and Alberthons, generally in teams of 3 to 5 people.

Can I change my master's specialization if it doesn't suit me in the first year?

The master’s program has a common core of approximately 55%.

If the specialization chosen in the first year doesn’t suit you, changing it in the second year is possible, provided you justify your choice to the academic team and catch up on missed fundamentals during the Summer.

How much time should be allocated for homework?

The workload varies depending on the week, work pace, and organization. Expect to spend about 10-15 hours on personal and group work weekly. Some content or reading will need to be reviewed before attending certain classes.

Does the MSc in Data for Finance prepare students for careers in market finance?

The MSc Data for Finance prepares students for finance roles where data proficiency is an asset. Roles include both market finance (e.g., asset management, risk management, trading) and corporate finance (e.g., management control, audit, investment banking).

Are master programs taught in English?

Yes, all master programs at Albert School are taught in English.

Can I join another business school after a bachelor's degree from Albert School?

All bachelor’s degrees at Albert School are recognized and allow you to apply to master’s degrees at Albert School or in any other university that requires a bachelor’s degree for admission.

What is the weekly course load at Albert School?

For bachelors, the weekly course load is approximately 30 hours, excluding Business Deep Dives, personalized mentoring, language lessons, and personal or group projects.

For specialized masters, courses are typically held over one full day per week alternating with an apprenticeship. During the Bootcamp period, the workload is about 30 hours per week.

What is the difference between the bachelor's degree and the Grande École program?

The bachelor’s degree is a 3-year program, laying the foundational knowledge in Business and Data. It is in line with the European model after the Bologna process, and it is usually complemented with a master’s degree.

The Grande École Program (PGE) is a 5-year course. The first three years correspond to a bachelor’s degree, and the last two years correspond to a master’s degree. PGE students will choose a specialization in their 4th year and they can decide to alternate work and study in an apprenticeship.

Will I be able to choose my own courses?

Students can choose among our catalog of elective courses in their master’s degree and  in the years 4 and 5 of the Grande Ecole program.

Are internships part of the curriculum?

Internships are an essential component of the Bachelor programs at Albert School.

They fulfill educational objectives, enabling students to immerse themselves in real-world enterprises and to build their professional networks.

Is there an associative life at Albert School?

Yes. Albert School has its Student Union (BDE), sports and cultural clubs, and a Junior Enterprise (Albert Junior Consulting). They organize numerous events for students and sometimes external participants.

Application Process

If I receive an admission offer, when is the deadline to accept it?

Congratulations! Choosing your school is one of the most important decision in your life. There is no time limit to accept the offer. Your spot is reserved for 10 days after the notification of admission. Afterwards, your subscription will be accepted depending on the availability of free places.

When will I get my admission results?

Results are provided within 10 days after each stage of the selection process. During the Parcoursup period, results are given within 72 hours.

What does the selection process involve?

The selection involves a 40-minute math test, dossier evaluation, and a 30-minute interview to assess logical reasoning and motivation.

What are the prerequisites for joining Albert School?

Last year high school students should have a keen interest in mathematics and aspire to solve complex problems.

For master’s degrees, a solid business or scientific background is needed. The M1 bootcamp has two tracks (data and business) to suit various profiles.

Is registration required on Parcoursup or Mon Master?

No, Albert School is not listed on Parcoursup or Mon Master. Applications are made directly through the school’s website.

Is proficiency in math necessary to join Albert Schoool?

Yes, enjoying mathematics is essential as it is a core part of Albert School’s curriculum, constituting over 100 hours per semester (9 hours per week).

Is a motivational letter necessary to apply?

It is recommended to include all pertinent documents in your application, such as transcripts, language certificates, diplomas, and recommendation letters.

What does the motivation interview cover?

The interview consists of three sections: getting to know you, a logical brainteaser, and an explanation of your motivations. The deciding committee is composed by members of Albert School and Mines Paris.

What should I do if I encounter an issue during the online logic and math test?

Send an email to admission@albertschool.com to explain the issue, and it will be reviewed promptly.

Can I try again the math test if I fail?

If you fail the online logic and math test, you can reapply to one of the bachelor programs in the following year.

How is the math test conducted?

The math test, designed for students in their last year of high school, evaluates logical and mathematical reasoning skills, and lasts 40 minutes. The level of difficulty becomes progressively harder with each correct answer.

Can a non-excellent academic record be redeemed during the interview?

Yes, determination and strong performance in the logic and math tests or during the interview can help to secure a spot.

What should I do if I can't complete my application due to missing transcripts?

Upload the same document twice if your transcripts are semester-based rather than trimester-based. The jury will understand.

Can I submit my application if I don't have my current year’s grades yet?

Yes, you can start the admission process and submit your missing grades later.

Fees and Financing

Is on-campus housing available?

On-campus housing is not available, but the campuses are centrally located with numerous housing options available nearby.

Do I need to pay a deposit to secure my spot?

The registration to the first year is confirmed with the payment of a €3,000 deposit. The remaining annual tuition fees are due before the beginning of the academic year.

To confirm the subscription to the following years, a down payment will be required before the 1st of July.

What are the annual tuition fees at Albert School?

Tuition fees depend on the program chosen. Refer to the dedicated page to learn about the tuition fees of the program of your interest.

I excel in maths and I really like Albert School, but I don’t have the necessary financial resources to cover my tuition fees. Are scholarships provided?

Yes, Albert School, with the support of corporate partners, offers scholarships covering up to 50% of tuition costs.

The attribution of the scholarship is social or merit based, as defined in the partnership with each company awarding a scholarship.

How can I finance my tuition fees?

To finance your tuition fees you can apply for student loans from partner banks, or to Albert School Talent Scholarships, covering up to 50% of your fees.

For master’s students who choose an apprenticeship, their employer will cover 100% of tuition.
